Prudential Regulatory Exposure & Lineage Diagnostic
Assess the resilience of your core-banking-to-regulatory-reporting pipeline.
Before you start
What is assessed
The data integrity of the returns of UMOA credit institutions: financial statements submitted via the CRAEF platform, prudential returns (FODEP) and periodic statements. ICT operational resilience is not covered.
The ten checkpoints
- 1.General ledger ↔ regulatory reconciliation
- 2.Core-banking extraction integrity
- 3.End-user computing (EUC) dependency
- 4.Data lineage
- 5.Prudential mapping governance
- 6.Collateral and credit risk mitigation
- 7.Semantic and cross-table validation
- 8.FX conversion and multi-currency lineage
- 9.Suspense and transit accounts
- 10.Pre-submission dry run and sign-off
How the score is calculated
Each checkpoint is worth 10 points if it is controlled and tooled, 4 if it is performed but manual or partial, 0 if it is not performed systematically. “I don’t know” scores 0, like the weakest answer, and is reported separately. The score is the sum of the ten checkpoints, out of 100, with no weighting.
Diagnostic bands
- Diagnostic band A80–100Controls largely in place
- Diagnostic band B50–79Controls partly in place
- Diagnostic band C0–49Widespread control gaps indicated
This is an indicative diagnostic index based on the controls assessed. It is not a regulatory certification or supervisory rating.
